Triangle ver.2

The Ver.2 has cylindrical edges instead of triangular edges. The cylindrical edges with arc length more than the arc created by a diameter would ensure that the triangles pack well into each other providing locking action + sealing action. The issue is however the way in which the glass matt is layered and coated and dried as the mould can get stuck onto the crevices created by the cylinder.

The sheet was made with plain general purpose resin. The mix recipie was as follows:

  1. 300 gm of resin was used as a first batch.
  2. Some 3 full spoons of ‘sanjeera’ powder was mixed into it.
  3. 1 spoon of cobalt solution was added.
  4. 1/2 spoon of hardner was added.

This was throughly mixed resulting in a cream colored thick liquid. Since this was the first time we were mixing our own resin, photographs were not taken. It took 2 hours to dry and the sheet was removed. The finish was not perfect as the resin did not penetrate enough.
